Sarah and Cyril are both pastry chefs so I knew this would be a great wedding to be a part of. Cyril is from France and his family came to enjoy the day. They chose the truly fantastic L’escale restaurant. Family and friends we treated to a great meal and as a special treat, Cyril made the wedding cake himself. It was an ice cream cake with sparklers which had to be finished minutes before being brought out. So after dinner Cyril put on his chef jacket, went into the freezer and put the cake together.
Sarah and Cyril, it was such a pleasure to be there for you at your wedding, I hope you enjoy these images!

Michelle and I met in Freeport, Bahamas 6 years ago. We were both about to embark on an amazing trip, Semester at Sea Spring 2004. When she called and asked me to shoot her wedding last year, I jumped at the chance. I don’t spend a lot of time at 7,000 feet elevation and found myself constantly out of breath. Flagstaff is a very pretty city, and Michelle and Christopher got married outside among pine trees in view of the San Francisco Peaks. The way they look at each other, you know they are in for a long happy marriage. Here are some images, hope you enjoy!

Bryan and Kristin have been together since high school and last saturday got married in Ocean City NJ. It was an lovely ceremony at St. Frances Cabrini Church followed by a fun filled reception at the Greate Bay Country Club. There were special personal touches throughout, Kristin made the wedding cake, finishing up very early Saturday morning. Several of Bryan’s friends picked up the guitar and sang songs for Bryan and Kristin. Bryan even edited together a documentary video telling the story of how they met and fell in love. It is clear Bryan and Kristin are meant for each other and wish you many happy years together.
Here are a few photos from the day, enjoy!

This past weekend I traveled to Maryland to photograph the wedding of two former co-workers. It was the first day of Spring and turned out to be gorgeous weather. They are both laid-back and easy-going which made things easy for me. Their friends and family couldn’t have been nicer and Running Hare Vineyard in Prince Frederick, Maryland was such a cool venue.
Mike and Jenny, thanks for having me be a part of your wedding, I had an amazing time. Have a wonderful cruise, and a happy marriage!
Here are some images from the day, enjoy!

My wife goes to San Francisco for a week right before Christmas every year for the American Geophysical Union conference. I have never been to San Francisco before, so I went out at the end of the week and we had a nice weekend together. I had to ride a cable car, and see Alcatraz, we also went to Golden Gate Park, and the bridge. Here are a few images form the weekend, my favorites are from the rock.

You have to be there to understand how steep the hills really are.

Glad the brakes were working.

Almost to the top.

Irish Coffee was introduced to the US here. It was really crowded, so we will have to visit again sometime.

Fisherman’s Wharf and Alcatraz.

Prison uniforms await new inmates.

The famous bridge shrouded in fog.
I drive to and from New Haven from Hamden on Dixwell Ave all the time. The abandoned buildings are everywhere. There was an unseasonably nice day last week and I stopped at a few buildings. There are more to come, just look around these places are everywhere.

I had the joy of welcoming Connor Thomas Long into this crazy world yesterday. He was just under 12 hours old, a brand new nephew. Danielle did a great job, and the kid is very healthy. Here are a few images of the newest Long:

Proud Grandma

He was a little guy.

Still sleeping.

Grandma can’t stop looking, neither can daddy.

Aunt Maureen.

Aunt Betsy.

Grandpa arrived as we were leaving.
Well, congratulations Pat and Danielle, he is perfect in every way. See you soon, Connor, your Uncle Tony!
